ISAR combines Space Data from satellites with Virtual Reality powered by Pacelab WEAVR for the creation of extremely realistic temporary scenarios, giving SAR operators the possibility to collaborate plan the mission and train operators in safe virtual environments.
Make first responders training SAFE and CUSTOMIZABLE.
Save TIME and COST for training first responders.
Enhance operations in REPRESENTATIVE virtual environments.
Give SAR operators a COLLABORATIVE tool for PLANNING their mission
ISAR exploit last trends’ technologies at disposal of search and rescue professionals.
Virtual Reality has confirmed several advantages and potentialities for next generation training in different fields. On the other hand, the growth of the New Space industry and the increasing demand for satellite data open new opportunities towards Earth Observation.
VR leads to a new training generation, building your own immersive learning environment in-house and making training.
- more effective
- faster
- at lower cost
Space data are a powerful source of information being precise, delivering metre-level accuracy, available in several forms, up-to-date and representative of the whole Earth, including the most remote areas.

The combination of Virtual Reality and Satellite Data enhances the creation of temporary virtual scenarios that replicates updated real environments. Once a request for a specific scenario emerge, ISAR will quickly build it acquiring the needed satellite images available from market providers.
These scenarios can be used by SAR pilots and responders for different purposes, mainly mission planning and operators training. In particular, responders can use ISAR scenario once an event occurs to plan the mission operations like being into a tactical table. The use of smart headsets will allow them to be aware and updated on the current situation, plan the needed activities by interacting with different people and properly allocating the available resources. Moreover, the scenario can be integrated into a flight simulator, in order to allow the pilot to simulate mission flight operations.
The tool can be used for training purposes too, addressing new responders that can work into a virtual environment while waiting for a new mission. ISAR can be also used for training operators that have to prepare for dangerous missions, where on-site training would be too risky.
